We had our first .500 night last night (4-4) and our record through 7 nights of back-to-back round robing action now stands at 37-19. Tonight a few lines just seem wrong (always a concern, what am I missing) and the oddsmakers seemed to have lost interest in the Over/Under as three games have the same number. Remember, you can’t tease the spread and the O/U in the same game.
Dartmouth +6 @ BROWN (142.5), 6 pm. Brown (16-9, 4-5) had a huge win last night against Harvard and now has to face a pesky Big Green (11-14, 2-7), which is looking for wins wherever it can get them. If Desmond Cambridge goes off for 30 like he did last night, Brown may romp, but I think Dartmouth will hang, but probably not win.
Pick: Dartmouth +11 Over BROWN and Under 147.5.
Cornell +8 @ PENN (142.5), 7 pm. Cornell’s loss at Princeton and Brown’s win over Harvard has tightened the race for the 4th Ivy Tournament spot. Cornell (13-12, 5-4) has lost two in a row and needs a win badly and Penn (15-10, 3-6) lost another OT battle last night against Columbia and has got to be mentally reeling, knowing it now has to win out to have any legit shot at the Tournament.
Pick: Cornell +13 Over PENN and Under 147.5.
Harvard +6 @ YALE (142.5), 7 pm. Harvard crushed Yale at Harvard, handing the Bulldogs (18-4, 8-1) their only loss. Now the Crimson (13-9, 6-3) are coming off a tough loss at Brown and are trying to stay ahead of Princeton for second place. When Harvard is good, they’re very good, but inconsistency has plagued them all season. Yale, meanwhile, is beastly at home and home is where they’ll be hosting the Ivy Tournament so I’m sure they’d like to send a message.
Pick: Yale -1 Over Harvard and Under 147.5.
Columbia +6.5 @ PRINCETON (133.5), 8 pm. How will Columbia (7-16, 2-7) respond to their big OT win last night at Penn? Will Lions Stefanini and Adlesh have any gas left in the tank? Meanwhile, Princeton (14-8, 6-3) continues to win without yet looking like they’re in sync. If Columbia can stay in it early, I think they’ll make a game of it, and this is the line that can really be teased comfortably in either direction.
Pick: Princeton -1.5 and Under 138.5.
