Andrew Elmquist

Happy Tuesday, sports fans! If you’re like us, you probably tuned into last night’s NBA Cup action, a mid-season tournament that is slated to become a yearly event. There were several close games, along with a few unexpected blowouts along the way.

While there aren’t any NBA Cup games tonight, there are still 11 regular games on the slate, which provides plenty of options for our Underdog player props! We did go 1-2 in our props last night, so let’s get back on track with a sweep!

Donovan Mitchell OVER 24.5 Points

The Cleveland Cavaliers keep winning. They are 12-0 at the moment, and they haven’t been slowed down by any of the top teams they’ve faced to this point in the season.

They’re bound to lose a game at some point, but this team is cooking with gas. Donovan Mitchell is one of their best players, averaging just short of 24 points per game. We think he’s due for a massive scoring night against the struggling Philadelphia 76ers, a team that can’t seem to get it together.

Mitchell can take over a game when given the opportunity, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he put up 30+ in this one, which is why we’re taking the over on his point total.

Chris Paul OVER 9 Points

Chris Paul has been a welcomed addition to the San Antonio Spurs this year. Sure, Victor Wembanyama is the star, young player, but Paul is a veteran presence that is a major help in the locker room.

He can still make it happen as a scorer too, averaging 10.5 points per game this year. Look for Paul to help the Spurs get to .500 in their matchup with the Washington Wizards, going over his nine-point projection.

Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 39.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists

We’re going to rinse and repeat a lot of our analysis from yesterday on Karl Anthony-Towns. We can’t go away from the big man considering how well he is playing, and are once again taking the over on his PRA total.

Towns put up 21 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists last night, cashing his line. Underdog raised this total by three points, considering that Towns and the Knicks face the Chicago Bulls tonight, but we’re not shying away from him.

Towns feels like a sure thing until proven otherwise, so it would be foolish for us to not take the over again.
