Happy Wednesday to all! If you’re anything like us, you might have been bummed that there wasn’t any NBA action yesterday due to the Election. However, we’re not going to be left hanging tonight, as there are 12 games on the slate, giving us plenty to look forward to!
As we prepare for another exciting slate, we’ve taken a look into what Underdog has for us on player props, hopeful we can pull off a sweep with our favorite plays. Without further ado, let’s get into it!
LaMelo Ball is on a roll to start the 2024-2025 NBA season. The Charlotte Hornets might still be one of the worst teams in the league, but it’s not because of any shortcomings from their star player.
Ball is averaging 28.6 points per game on the season, the seventh-most in the league. He’s cooking with gas at the moment, and has a juicy matchup with the Detroit Pistons tonight, where he has another opportunity to put up some major numbers.
We’re expecting a back-and-forth battle between Ball and Cade Cunningham and wouldn’t be surprised if Ball had at least 30 points tonight, easily going over his projected total.
Similar to Ball and the Hornets, we believe Jayson Tatum has a chance to go nuclear against the Golden State Warriors tonight. The Boston Celtics are looking like one of the best teams in the East, and now that Steph Curry is back in the fold for the Warriors, they too, look like a solid team that’s ready to fight for a playoff spot down the road.
Tatum has seemingly shrugged off his doubters to open the season, averaging 30 points per game, the fourth-most in the league.
He’s a force to be reckoned with at the moment, and we simply cannot bet against him against the Warriors, especially since we expect this to be a close game throughout.
Josh Hart is a true anomaly. Despite being a guard and standing at just 6’4”, he loves to grab rebounds, an absolute menace on the glass.
Hart has been a key cog of the New York Knicks’ roster for quite some time, and he should be extremely helpful in their chase for a title again this year.
Hart routinely logs 10+ rebounds, and when looking at his matchup with the Atlanta Hawks tonight, we think he has a great chance to have at least 11 in this game, which is why we’re taking the over in this spot too.
