NBA Betting Guide: Predictions and Top Player Props for Friday, October 25

Ready to kick-start your weekend with some NBA action? Our hoops insider gives out his betting guide for Friday, which includes some top player props for October 25. Good luck!

Andrew Elmquist

It’s a great day to be a sports fan. The World Series is starting, college football will be on, and the NBA and NHL seasons have now begun.

NBA fans have to be looking forward to tonight’s slate of games, as there are 10 games taking place across the league. There’s certainly plenty to watch tonight, including a matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns and a game between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers.

We’re certainly excited to watch it all go down, which is why we’ve put a few of our favorite player props together! Underdog certainly provided a lot of options for us, so let’s get into our top plays of the night!

LaMelo Ball UNDER 25.5 Points

LaMelo is one of the lone bright spots for the Charlotte Hornets. This team has been one of the worst in the league for several years, but Ball gives them a chance to win difficult games.

That said, we are fading his point total against the Atlanta Hawks tonight. Ball can have large bouts of scoring, but he’s more utilized for his role as a distributor.

Plus, he hasn’t fared well against the Hawks in his career thus far, only scoring 26+ points against them on two occasions. We’ll take the under here until Ball proves that he can score in bunches this season.

Gary Trent Jr. OVER 12.5 Points

Gary Trent Jr. could end up being one of the most vital pieces to the Milwaukee Bucks’ roster this season. They brought him in to hopefully add depth to their team and to find a new veteran starter and showcased him in that way during their opening game of the season.

He scored only 11 points in 34 minutes of work, but he only took six shots, so he was rather efficient in this outing.

We project Trent to continue to get more run and playing time on this team and are confident he’ll shoot the ball more tonight, amassing at least 13 points against the Chicago Bulls.

Dalton Knecht OVER 8 Points, Rebounds & Assists

The Los Angeles Lakers looked strong in their first game of the season, an emphatic win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Their expected strong duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James certainly played their part, but the Lakers did get some encouraging minutes out of rookie, Dalton Knecht. Knecht played 16 minutes in his NBA debut, putting up five points, two assists, and one rebound.

He could be an invaluable member of this roster all season, and if he plays at least 16 minutes again tonight, we’re confident that he’ll put up at least eight combined points, rebounds, and assists.
