Denver Nuggets at Charlotte Hornets, 7 pm Eastern
The Pick: Charlotte +3 (-109), bet $10.90 to win $10
Charlotte has won seven of their last ten games, and is fighting for their playoff lives. The Hornets are 20-17-1 against the spread at home overall this season, while Denver has gone 1-4 ATS in their last five. The Nuggets have been good lately, but haven’t covered the spread against the Hornets in their last five in Charlotte. Charlotte’s offense is fifth in the league, and they do always stand up in their own gym.
Boston Celtics at Toronto Raptors, 7:30 pm Eastern
The Pick: Boston +4.5 (-109), bet $10.90 to win $10
Boston is getting this many points tonight because this game is the second of a back-to-back for them, but I’m really impressed with this Celtics team. Boston have won five games in a row on the road and by this point, are playing the best of any team in the Eastern Conference and maybe the league. The Celtics are also 21-16 against the spread on the road. They beat the Raptors in Toronto back in November, and that was before they really turned on the jets near the All-Star Break. Jayson Tatum is questionable tonight; he might be resting. I don’t care. I like the Celtics to fight hard and make it a close game.
