Minnesota Timberwolves at Detroit Pistons, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Minnesota -7 (-110), bet $22 to win $20

The Timberwolves have won two in a row, both games against solid Western Conference playoff contenders. Now, they go on the road to play Detroit, who’s lost five of six games. Minnesota is 6-0 as a favorite in their last six and 17-6 overall. The Pistons are 3-7 as an underdog in their last ten games and might be without star rookie Cade Cunningham, who’s grappling with a hip injury suffered on Tuesday. Minnesota’s grappling with playoff position; they need tonight’s game.

Player Prop: Anthony Edwards under 23.5 points (-108), bet $16.20 to win $15

Minnesota will win tonight and Edwards will have a solid game, but his average is 22.3 and that’ll make this play a winner.

Phoenix Suns at Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 pm Eastern

The Pick: Phoenix -167, bet $25 to win $15

Phoenix has won 14 of 15 games since the start of 2022 and I don’t think guard Chris Paul is interested in losing ever again. I’m not betting that will happen, but Paul is having a fantastic year at the age of 36. He and fellow Sun star Devin Booker go into Atlanta tonight to face Trae Young - who I imagine Paul feels is on his corner a little bit. Although, it’s a maybe whether or not Young will play; he’s banged up with a shoulder injury. Regardless, I think it’s a statement game for Phoenix, so they won’t let up. The Suns are 8-1 against the Eastern Conference, 7-1 on the road. The Suns smell playoff home-court, so they’ll go hard tonight.

Player Prop: Devin Booker under 29.5 points (-118), bet $17.70 to win $15

Like Edwards, I think the Suns win tonight without needing a superlative game from Booker.
