Houston Rockets at Sacramento Kings, 6 pm Eastern
The Pick: Sacramento -5.5 (-110), bet $11 to win $10
Sacramento beat Houston in a home game just two days ago, and I see no reason why they won’t do the same today. Houston is 2-12 against the spread in their last 14 games, while Sacramento is on a two-game home win streak (and lost the one prior to a hot Cleveland team by just one point). Currently, the Kings are one half-game out of the play-in games. They’re going to fight for a playoff spot, and a permanent job for interim coach Alvin Gentry, while the Rockets have no real incentive other than a high draft pick. Around this time of the season is where the teams that are tanking start to show it convincingly.
