A start. A small start, but a start. Let’s see if we can build…

Golden State Warriors at New York Knicks, 7:30 pm Eastern

The Pick: Golden State -200, bet $15 to win $7.50

Steph Curry needs two three-pointers to surpass Ray Allen’s all-time record. Uh, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Curry and his teammates are amped to do this in Madison Square Garden. New York has lost four games in a row at home, and the crowd will be behind the Warriors and Curry tonight. Furthermore, R.J. Barrett and Obi Toppin are out for the Knicks. The Warriors are 11-2 in their last 13 against the Knicks. I’ll pay extra and lower the money wagered for a straight win.

Phoenix Suns at Portland Trail Blazers, 10 pm Eastern

The Pick: Phoenix -116, bet $8.70 to win $7.50

This moneyline bet is essentially a spread wager anyway. Portland is on a five-game losing streak and essential guard C.J. McCollum is out “with a lung,” which would be amusing were it not so frightening. The Trail Blazers just fired their general manager under a cloud of scandal, and star Dame Lilliard is tweeting snark in response to articles about the team's turmoil. So yeah, the team is in turmoil. Meanwhile, Phoenix has won eight of their last ten games on the road and four of their last five against Portland. So yeah, I foresee a little more turmoil for the Trail Blazers, and perhaps another tweet from Lillard.
