Thursday NBA Playoffs: With key players doubtful or questionable, Fats says 'Save your money, enjoy the game'

Hawks at BUCKS, 8:35 pm EDT.

Fats Baller

0-2 last night, but the picks were in the ballpark of being right. Chris Paul led the Suns to what could have been a +325 victory, he just came up 2 assists short. But when a guy scores 41, it's hard for him to also get double-digit assists.

Even though I've made nearly 800 wagers on NBA games this season, I'm taking the rest of the Hawks vs. Bucks off. It's not because I've been losing like crazy – that happens – I'm still near break-even. No, it's because, I don't have the luxury of filing my picks when the TV broadcast starts, so I have no idea who's playing or how fit they are. It's hard enough to decide what kind of game the Hawks are going to have when their team is set. When Trae Young and Clint Capela are questionable, and Giannis is doubtful for the Bucks, I'm out for Bettors Insider.

Does Giannis try to give it a go and pull a Willis Reed – to help give Marv Albert closure on his amazing career: "And here comes Giannis, and the crowd is going wild"? If not, do you look at rebound totals for Brook Lopez and PJ Tucker? Do you bump up Khris Middleton's points, rebounds, assists? Does no Giannis mean fewer assists for Jrue Holiday? More points? does the Under become more appealing because the Bucks may run less, or less appealing because the Hawks may score more? Who comes off the bench to provide the Lou Williams spark the Hawks got when Trae Young missed last game?

I dunno. I don't even know if Coach B knows.
