This Astros team has made us a ton of coin lately, and we'll keep riding them as long as the oddsmakers keep disrespecting them. As we've mentioned in some prior articles, Yusei Kikuchi has looked like a completely different pitcher since he was traded from Toronto to Houston.
The veteran lefty has struck out 24 hitters while only allowing 5 earned runs over his last 3 starts. Sure, Boston did light him up pretty good back in June when he was with the Blue Jays, but I'm not going to read too much into that. Look for Kikuchi to spot his fastball much better this time around.
Boston's offense has been good recently, but they've struggled for most of the season against lefties. The Red Sox rank just 14th in WRC against southpaws this year, which isn't all that great. The Astros, on the other hand, rank 7th in MLB against righties.
Lastly, we have current form on our side in this one. Getting a red-hot Houston team that's won 10 of its last 11 games at this price is simply too good to pass up. Lay the small number with the 'Stros!

This line doesn't make a lick of sense in my humble opinion. Houck had a great start to the season, but he's been kind of hit and miss over the last couple of months. His K-rate has dropped all the way down to 20.8%, which only puts him in the 37th percentile.
I get that the oddsmakers are expecting Houck to get 6 innings of work in this game. However, he just faced Houston a few weeks ago and only mustered up 1 strikeout in 6 innings. Has this Astros lineup changed all that much in two weeks? I think NOT!
Houston puts the ball in play very well against righties! Six Astros hitters have strikeout rates under 18%. Don't overthink this one. Jump on the plus money Under!
