Best Bet: Cardinals (+120)

STL at KC - 7:10 PM EDT

We'll run it back with St. Luay for the 2nd day in a row, mainly because I don't think there's much of a gap between them and Kansas City. The Cards have struggled to hit lately, but I really think that facing the back end of the Royals rotation will help them to break out of their funk.

Michael Wacha has had a decent season for KC, but he's done a lot of it with smoke and mirrors. The veteran righty's expected ERA of 4.17 suggests that some negative regression is coming his way soon.

On the flip side, Cards starter Andre Pallante was touched up for 5 earned runs in his last start against the Mets. However, I think that's forgivable because of the way the Mets have been swinging lately. The Cards bullpen is also much better than the Royals, so give me that plus money!

Best Bet: Brewers (-130)

CIN at MIL - 7:10 PM EDT

Man, this Brewers lineup is on fire these days! They just scored 34 runs against Atlanta on their way to a 3-game sweep on the road. Milwaukee should be able to light up Nick Martinez, who isn't a true starter, in this one.

Martinez has looked good in some relief outings, but his ERA is sitting at an inflated 6.31 over his last 5 starts. That could spell trouble against Jackson Chourio, Willy Adames, and William Contreras.

The Reds have the better bullpen in this matchup, and that's a bit of a concern for me. That said, Milwaukee's lineup is just too good to pass up at this cheap of a price in their home ballpark. Let's lay the -130 or so.

Best Bet: Mets (+114)

NYM at SEA - 9:40 PM EDT

In case y'all haven't noticed, I'm not a big believer in this Mariners team. They have an excellent starting rotation, but they've struggled to score runs all year long. Even as good as Logan Gilbert has been, he's still just 2-5 at home this season because of that poor run support.

Is there anyone in baseball hotter than Sean Manaea right now? Holy cow! This guy has been mowing down hitters left and right. The southpaw hasn't allowed a run in 14 straight innings and he's struck out 21 hitters during that span.

I know Gilbert is a stud, and it pains me to fade him, but this price is flat out wrong. Give me the better team with a lefty that's in excellent form!
