Greene has burned me a few times this season, but I still love watching him pitch. He may be a young guy, but he's got an old-school bulldog mentality that's a bit of a rarity these days. The young righty's strikeout rate of 27.6% is one of the best in MLB.
At just 24 years old, Greene's best days are yet to come, but he's had a solid season so far. His best pitch is his fastball, which regularly clocks in at 98 mph on the gun. That's a big reason why his whiff rate ranks in the 83rd percentile!
Greene gets a favorable matchup, at least K-wise, against Atlanta tonight. The Braves offense has been a major disappointment, and they have the 5th highest strikeout rate in MLB against righties. Let's play an Over to get this party started!

I like Fedde and think he's one of the most underrated starters in the American League. He's got a good sinker, but he's not really a premier strikeout pitcher. Fedde make his hay by getting soft contact on the ground.
Fedde draws a pretty tough matchup tonight on the road against Texas. The Rangers offense has underperformed this season, but they put the ball in play pretty well against righties. Six Texas hitters have K-rates less than 21%.
What else do we like about this Under? Well, Fedde's whiff rate ranks in just the 26th percentile in all of baseball. The Rangers have also just one big-time K target in Adolis Garcia, so Fedde's opportunities for strikeouts will be somewhat limited tonight. Give us the Under!
BOS at COL - 8:40 PM EDT
Y'all know I'm not crazy about taking strikeout Overs in the hitter-friendly confines of Coors Field. That being said, I think the oddsmakers overadjusted for that factor when hanging this number. The thin air of Colorado primarily affects the break of curveballs (sweepers).
However, we have to remember that Houck doesn't even throw a curveball. He throws a slider 42% of the time and research has proven that Coors doesn't have as big of an effect on that pitch. Houck's secondary pitch is a sinker, which also tends to break pretty well at Coors.
We all know how strikeout prone this Rockies lineup is. Heck, they have 5 everyday players that strike out at least 25% of the time. A few those guys have K-rates of 30% or higher. Houck should crush this Over!
