Monday MLB Strikeout Props: Krothers looks to beat books with two traded pitchers – Josiah Gray, Andrew Heaney

Phillies @ Nationals, 7:00 pm ET, Orioles @ Yankees, 7:05 pm ET.

Batman Krothers

We get to see a couple of traded pitchers starting today so I’m going to focus on picking them with the hope that the books may not notice some of the nuance involved in switching teams and give us a chance at making some dough.

Phillies @ Nationals, 7:00 pm ET

The Nats roll out Josiah Gray for his first home start in Washington and I looove his stuff. The question with him when he was with the Dodgers was "How long are they going to keep him in the game?" With a team like the Dodgers they could afford to keep him on a tight pitch count and turn it over to the bullpen – with the Nats I’m hoping they let him go longer. In 4 inning starts he was doing 6-7 K, so if they let him go 6 I expect him to get 8 against this Philly team. DraftKings is offering +110 for him to go over 5.5 and that’s where I’m putting my greenbacks.

Orioles @ Yankees, 7:05 pm ET

The Yanks show off their new acquisition Andrew Heaney and no one doubts his stuff – only his ability to miss the bats. His 5.27 ERA doesn’t scare anyone, but his ability to strike people out does as he has hit 10K in a game 3 times already this season. Against these O’s I expect around a 7K outing. At FanDuel you can get -102 for over 6.5 and I’ll take it.

See you tomorrow – same Bat-time, same Bat-place!
