Batman Krothers

Some days I have lots to say about what’s going on in MLB – other days there is a tweet that I think sums things up – this is one of the latter days…

#stickyballgate - ‘Nuff said.

Nationals @ Marlins, 7:10 pm ET

Let’s start the day with the Nats’ Joe Ross. He’s hit 7-9 strikeouts in a game this season, but now that we’re into the "post-doctored ball" time of the season, I would expect him to average 5-6 Ks a game. The Marlins aren’t the worst team out there, but the 4.5 line I’m seeing seems low to me. I’m going to take the over 4.5 strikeouts at -167 from DraftKings.

Indians @ Twins, 8:10 pm ET

For this game I’m looking at the Twins Jose Berrios. He’s been great this year – 7-2 with a 1.09 WHIP and 87 strikeouts in 83 innings. It seems you can count on him to get 6+ strikeouts about 80% of the time. As such, I’m going to take the over 5.5 strikeouts and -128 from FanDuel.

Cubs @ Dodgers, 10:00 pm ET

For our last pick of the night we’re going to look at Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler. This kid has really been an ace – check out these numbers: 7-0 record, 2.38 ERA, .9 WHIP, and 88 strikeouts over 90.2 innings. I’ll also note that he’s been getting better as the season progresses and struck out 11 in his last outing against the Diamondbacks. This looks like an easy pick with the over/under set at 7.5 – I’ll take the over 7.5 at -128 from FanDuel to cap out my night.
