Wednesday night's "5 Baseball Bets" was another good night as Eddie Rosario (+435) and Gleyber Torres (+420) both homered in the Yankees vs. Twins game. Overall, we were 4 of 10 for the night and +$41.60. Through seven days, we're now 33 of 64 and + $169.14, a sweet 26+% return on our $640 wagered.
Tonight we have the Yankees vs. Red Sox and it's a toughie. The Yankees are up 12 in the loss column over the Red Sox so the Sox really need to sweep. As it is now, if the Yankees go 30-31 the rest of the way, the Red Sox will have to go 41-18 to beat them. That's unlikely on both sides, but, hey, it's baseball, Suzyn.
Both starters (Tanaka and Porcello) were lit up like batting practice pitchers when these two teams met in London and the Yankees have recently been pounding the ball. That has to slow down at some point, doesn't it? It may not be tonight, but, either way, I'm going to expect the Red Sox to score some runs. Unless Tanaka has one of those lights out games in which case I'm screwed. (Bets are once again $10 per, odds are courtesy of SugarHouse PA.)
Yankees @ Red Sox 7:05 pm
Bogaerts Over 1.5 hits +191
Betts Over 1.5 hits +176
Betts to homer +400
