Good morning racing fans and welcome to another exciting week of racing from around the U.S. Keeneland hasn’t been kind to us so I’m making a detour to Tampa Bay Downs to begin our week. We show an overall profit at Tampa Bay Downs since 2019 and it’s currently our most profitable track for the month so far. Fast and firm conditions are expected. Let’s get to the action!
Tampa Bay Downs:
Race 7: Finlandias Neat - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 4/1)
Maiden claimers go a mile on turf and Finlandias Neat should own the controlling speed nearest the rail. A five year old gelded son of the multiple Grade 1 winning English Channel out of a multiple stakes winning dam - Finlandia - makes his third career start today. This one’s second dam - It’s a Gherkin was also a multiple winner on turf. This one’s dam didn’t win her first turf start either but she improved with every start early on and turned into quite a nice turf filly. Finlandias Neat showed improvement in his second start despite his rider allowing the favorite to slip up the rail on the backstretch. Finlandias Neat ended up dueling that favorite into the ground setting the table for another runner. Today he gets a significant rider upgrade to Samy Camacho and I look for this one to win gate to wire in start number 3.
As always, best of luck to all our members playing Wednesday’s races from Tampa!
