Early Pick Three Sequence At Keeneland

All Maiden Races

Yesterday we turned an $18 bet into $44.74. Let’s keep up the momentum.

Keeneland R1|Post Time: 1 pm ET

Dirt 8.5 Furlongs|2YOMd 30000|Purse: $47K

Starting this leg with the 3-California Twirl (3/1) who had a rough start last out and never contended. He drops for a tag after two msw outings and will get an easier go of it today. Wesley Ward trained 6-O’conner Sunset (10/1) hits a favorite angle of first time starters in mcl races where their dam (Miss Sunset) won in her first try. Making this more compelling is that Miss Sunset scored an 81 Equibase number in that race and his sire Curlin, scored a 105. With today’s par of 66, anything close to that effort should get the win. 10-He’s  A Good Dancer (8/1) came alive at 6.5 furlongs last out and closed well to just miss by 1/4 length. He fetched a high of 73 Equibase score, and trainer/jock are 33%. 11-Qualified (9/2) has a race under his belt and two solid works since. Improvement eminent.

Keeneland R2|Post Time: 1:32 pm ET

Dirt 7 Furlongs|2YO Fillies Md 150000|Purse: $69K

Putting confidence in trainers Brendan Walsh and Brad Cox respectfully for taking their second time starters in this race off the turf from their first race and adding 1-Lady Baron (7/2) and 2-Queenanne’srevenge (6/1) to the ticket. The extra furlong for 3-Valiant Prince (5/2) will be welcome after just missing by a neck last out. 10-Wewehawken (6/1) drops for a tag after two tries and has put in three solid works, showing his improving form.

Keeneland R3|Post Time: 2:04 pm ET

Dirt 6 Furlongs|3↑ Md 75000|Purse: $67K

Not even scared at the lowly 5% off the claim race for 3-Insolito (6/1) as his form at Oaklawn early in the season was well enough to trump this group. Adding 2-Lucky Smile (20/1) in his second try, 1-Derivitave (7/2) who will be the lone speed, and 4-Bet He’s Ready (3/1) who comes off the bench for Asmussen and clocked a :59.8 gate work leading up to today. Asmussen/Gaffalione a strong 28% tandem.

$0.50 Pick 3 - 3,6,10,11 / 1,2,3,10 / 1,2,3,4  = $32
