RT

It’s forecasted for a clear, crisp evening in Toronto, so we’ll head there for a couple of races at Woodbine

Race 6 - $40K Stater Allowance for fillies and mares 3yo+ NW3 or NWx going 6F, Post time: 7:14 pm ET

One thing you can always count on at Woodbine in the field sizes. This race has eleven entries and the #10 Takota (15/1), #8 Systemic Risk (8/1), #9 Dreams Are Free (8/1), along with #3 Ima Beast (12/1) will provide the speed. Look for #2 Betwixting (3/1) and #11 Teacher’s Pet (6/1) to pay off for the pace to develop. SmartCap has Imabeast with best overall class, speed and second best last. Also, Betwixting has near best overall class and speed and best last. Imabeast as been on layoff since mid-July and has been working out like a beast and should be ready. However, her trainer is unproven with layoff horses, so it’ll be a crapshoot and I’ll pass. With Patrick Husbands getting his second ride on her, I like Betwixting with a strong close to catch Dreams Are Free late.
My pick: Betwixting

Race 7 - $108K Allowance for 3yo+ NW$ or NW3 going 7F, Post time: 7:43 pm ET

SmartCap has #1 Ride A Comet (7/5) is going to be take a lot of money and hasn’t raced in 775 days. His works have been solid and Mark Casse is 15% with long layoff horses. I really believe this horse will need a race or two before getting back to form. #5 Kingly (3/1) is going to be a solid choice, however, I am going with a price on #2 Dun Drum (10/1) with his 10:3-1-3 record at Woodbine for $130K.
My pick: Dun Drum
