Parx Race 8 - $35K Allowance for PA bred fillies and mares 3yo+ NWx

#6 Lucky Imagination (6/1) and #7 Kaylasaurus (7/2) will take the early lead and given Parx’s proclivity to favor speed, look for these two to take that lead and attempt to hang on.

#4 Sunny Dale (8/5) has SmartCap/Equibase best overall class, speed and last. In her last, an $80K statie stakes race, she stalked the pace, rallied to first and tired in the stretch, then maintained second. That was her fist foray into Parx and she’ll look to score today. Two tune up works, including a bullet :48 a week ago, makes her the one to beat. Jeremy Laprida takes the helm for his second attempt today.

Tiz Gracie (5/1) is one to watch. 3rd off a layoff and showing improvement in her last, she has outstanding late kick and can close this deal. Thus far, her last race has proved to be a key race and if she wins, it’ll be wise to put the remainder of those horses in your virtual stable.

Ms. Teek (9/2) will be coming fast as well in the lane and is not to be ignored. Having just won an allowance at the $28K level, she steps up today and picks up 4lbs as high weight in this class. Trainer Flint Stites just 12% when seeking back to back wins and her change from Penn to Parx may be an obstacle that could be tough to overcome.

My Pick - #3 Sunny Dale. Laprida has gotten to know this filly and her back class should get her there first.

Race 9 - $50K optional claimer for 3yo NWx or NW2 going 6.5f

#1 Inter Miami (2/1) is going to take a ton of money in this and frankly, it’s a sucker bet. The last time this horse ran close to its last Equibase figure, he returned to a huge bounce, getting beat by twelve lengths.

#4 Heros Reward (5/1) has our best overall numbers, including last, and although not a fan of a horse with no races or works over the track, his campaign this year has been fraught with missteps – including a recent turf race at Kentucky Downs, mud at Ellis and a better-than-what-it-looks Keeneland allowance. His recent :47 bullet denotes readiness and getting Frankie a major bonus.

#5 Sir Back In Black (3/1) was well on his way during his 2-year-old season before being shelved for six months. Since then, he has scored at this track, level, and distance three back. Moving to Laurel, his trip in the mud wasn’t to his pleasing and in his last, a similar race as this, he closed well to get up for show. He is the only entry in this to be running for a tag and with that, I will pass.

My pick - #4 Heros Reward

Happy Hunting 😊
