Bettors Insider's two horse racing handicapping experts – Chris Garrity (@belmostickey) and RT and SmartCap (@RTsSpot) – have agreed to take part in a weekly handicapping contest throughout June.

For the contest, each handicapper will designate one of his race picks per weekday and two on Saturday and Sunday. Win, place, show betting only $20 per bet. Weeks run Monday through Sunday.

The 'capper with the most money at the end of each week will have a donation made in his name to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund. You can donate to the fund here.

Play along and in future months you may have a chance to beat the pros.

Yesterday

RT bet $20 to win on 6-Fool's Paradise in the 5th race at Lone Star Park. He also bet $7 to win $13 to place on 4-Wind of Change in the 8th at Lone Star Park. With a typical Sunday charge, Paradise WON and returned $84.00 to RT. In the 8th, Wind of Change needed more wind at his back and finished out of the money. Garrity bet $20 to win on 1-Critical Value in the 8th at Belmont Park and $20 to win on 2-Little Menace in the 7th at Lone Star Park. Critical was a Value indeed as he WON and returned $37.00. Garrity scored a double WIN with Little Menace in the Lone Star 8th. He returned $34.00.

RT ended at -$62.40 and Garrity at +$87.

For the second week in a row, Garrity WINS and will have a donation to the PDJFund made in his name. The contest ran four weeks and each handicapper won twice.
