$25K Claiming 2yo fillies and mares going 6 furlongs
#3 Hufflepuff (6/1)
When I ran the Equibase numbers thru our SmartCap** program, this Stay Thirsty filly come out with best last, best speed and best class. Checking the PP’s, she broke her maiden two back in a waiver claiming race at Delaware and was fast tracked to The Small Wonder stakes where she was pinned in at the far turn, came four wide and was hand ridden out for the place when jockey Carol Cedeno realized it was fruitless. She’s been on the bench for six weeks, received a steady diet of workouts and trainer Anthony Pecorara is 22% in this situation. With the Cedeno/Pecorara tandem, they are fetching 38% wins.

$35K Allowance for Maryland bred fillies and mares 3yo+ going 1 mile.
#1 – No Mo Lady (7/2) second race off a seven month layoff, she was entered into a 5.5 furlong turf allowance race last out where she was checked hard at the 5/8 mark and then made a brilliant move into the turn going wide in the five path before tiring. A clean rail trip and the same effort will put her in the hunt here. Two strong workouts since and one of Laurel's leading riders, Julien Pimental, retains the mount.
#6 Bunting (9/5) gets the Equibase/SmartCap** highest numbers and is a lover of Laurel going 8:2-2-1 for $93K, $11.5K per outing and $18.5K itm. She, and the #8 Grace Isabella, are the only two horses in this field that are not coming off turf races. Moreover, this filly has never raced on that surface – an anomaly in this field. Trainer Rodney Jenkins 36% from sprint to routes, 33% on dirt and 20% wins with jockey Victor Carrasco.
#8 Grace Isabella (8/1) third off a claim for trainer Robin Graham who won last out in similar company, she collared the leader and accelerated to win going away. Now, she gets a stretch out and will lurk a danger.
#3 I Love You (10/1) gets our best last numbers and takes a drop in class. Was in tight in her last, steadied and lost her oomph after that. She poses a chance to hit the board at a square price today.
Bets $25/w $50/p #1, Exacta Box 1-6-8, Trifecta 1-8/1-8-3/6, 1-8/6/1-8-3, 6/1-8/1-8-3

$50K AOC for 3yo+ going 6.5 furlongs
#3 Threes Over Deuces (2/1) trainer Gary Capuano no dumbass here as he left this Cruelmore gelding unprotected in an aoc two back where he won easily. As Optional Claiming rules go, a horse cannot be protected two races in a row and so Capuano moved him up to The $100K New Castle Stakes where he went three wide and ran second to one time Derby hopeful Call Paul. Today, he drops in protected from being claimed and should win this going away.
Bets $100/w $200/p #3

#6 Tachyon (10/1) gets our best last, best speed and best class figures. Trainer Anthony Farrior a 42% win prop moving his horses from turf to dirt and is 27% winners with jockey Sheldon Russell.
Bets $35/w $70/p #6
