We'll head today to our old Tuesday standby, Indiana Grand in Shelbyville, Indiana, which all summer has put on excellent midweek cards. Today is no exception: there's a very playable nine-race card in suburban Indianapolis. It will be fast and firm there today; let's go.

Indiana Grand, Race 3, 3:11 pm ET

$25,000 Claiming, 1 mile, turf, Fillies & Mares 3 & Up

A field of eleven will go to the post in this turf claimer. The hot favorite, even money on the morning line, is 5-Twin Channel, but she looks like an underlay to us, because while she has an edge, it is slight. She may win, but we are going to look elsewhere.

We like 11-Rogue Too in this spot. This 3-year-old filly has been trying different things, sprinting on both dirt and turf, but in here, she's back to what it looks to us like she does best, which is going around two turns on grass. We think she will get a good stalking trip in this one, and will take the race with a strong stretch move. We will bet her to win at 8-1. The bet: Indiana Grand, Race 3, $20 to win on 11-Rogue Too.

Indiana Grand, Race 5, 4:07 pm ET

Maiden Special Weight, 1 1/16 miles, turf, 2-year-old fillies

This maiden turf race drew a full field of twelve. It's a good race to handicap. We like a second-time starter, 3-Full Stride. This daughter of top sire Medaglia d'Oro finished fifth in her debut, which was at Ellis Park in August, but she was given a brief freshening off that race, and we expect a big improvement against this group today. Trainer Brad Cox is good with horses making their second career start, but watch the tote board: his horses tend to get bet when they win. We expect this filly to start at odds lower than her 7/2 morning line, but that's a good sign, we think: it means she's sitting on a big one. We will bet her to win. The bet: Indiana Grand, Race 5, $35 to win on 3-Full Stride.

Indiana Grand, Race 7, 5:03 pm ET

Allowance/Optional Claiming, 5 furlongs, turf, 3 & Up

A good field of eleven goes in this turf sprint. It's a great race to handicap. We're going with a trainer angle, and a long shot, in this one: it's 8-Unmoored, who was trained out of a $30k dirt claiming race at Churchill Downs by trainer Chris Hartman, who moves him from dirt to turf and from Kentucky to Indiana. He also jumps him in class, from $30k to $40k; we view this as a positive sign. He ran competitively in turf sprints most of the summer, and his back form should be competitive with this group. One more positive sign: Hartman has a very good 20% win rate with horses making their first start off a claim, so he knows what he's doing, and understands where to place horses to give them a chance. Unmoored is 15-1 on the morning line, and because of the price, we will bet him to win and to place. The bet: Indiana Grand, Race 7, $20 to win and place on 8-Unmoored.

That's all for today. Good luck at the windows.
