If you read any of our stuff, you probably know we are all over Villanova being 14-0 in the games following its 14 regular season Big East losses prior to them coughing one up at Madison Square Garden Sunday. So, while we really would like to get on the Wildcats money line (-240 is the best price) as they try to rebound in D.C. against Georgetown, it is probably a little too steep for a team that may not have its full mojo back in gear.
Instead, we will get back up on the Second Half Horse (which failed miserably Sunday), since Villanova has shown its resilience then throughout the year (20-5-1). Laying two in the second 20 minutes shouldn’t be a problem.
La Salle heads up to Olean, N.Y., to take on a St. Bonaventure team that has seen the Over come out in each of its last five home games, four of them easily doing so by double digits.
We even considered going in on the two as a parlay, but talked ourselves out of it. We’ll be happy to take two single wins.
