College Basketball Player Props to Target on Friday, March 15

March Madness is here and we are committed to bringing you winning college basketball props every night. Find our picks for Friday here.

Andrew Elmquist

Happy Friday, everyone! It is a beautiful day for many reasons, including the fact that we are one day closer to March Madness. We have been looking into bracketology for several weeks, and have been putting together our favorite player props, trying to figure out who will significantly impact our brackets.

We put out our top four picks yesterday, going three out of four with our selections. It would have been a perfect sweep, but Silas Demary Jr. had one of his best games of the season, and of course, we took the under on his point total.

There are a lot of great games tonight, and we’re excited to talk about our four favorite player props again, which can all be found on Underdog. Let’s get it!

Tristen Newton (UConn): Over 28.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists

UConn can be a tough team to take player props for, especially since they have five players that average more than 10 PPG. However, we feel great about Tristan Newton’s PRA line tonight since UConn is taking on St. John’s in what should be a hard-fought battle.

Newton had 35 PRA the last time these two teams faced off, and with more stakes on the line, we’re projecting him to have another monster performance.

Jamison Battle (OSU): Over 14.5 Points

We’re riding with Jamison Battle’s point total for the second game in a row. Battle started slow yesterday, but he ended the game with an impressive stat line that was highlighted by his 23-point performance.

Illinois will be a much tougher test than Iowa was yesterday, but we are confident that he’s up for the task and can score at least 15 points down the stretch.

Jamal Shead (Houston): Over 15.5 Points

At first glance, it seemed like the play was to take the under on Jamal Shead’s point total tonight. He has only scored 16 or more points in one of his past six games, which might make fans think he is due for another poor shooting performance.

However, Shead does like his matchup with Texas Tech, which just so happens to be the team that Houston is playing tonight. He torched them for 29 points in their meeting earlier this year, a trend we believe will continue into tonight’s matchup. Don’t overthink his over tonight.

Devin Carter (Providence): Over 19.5 Points

Similar to Battle, we also took Devin Carter as part of our picks yesterday. Some might call this lazy, but when it comes to good players, especially in the month of March, it’s difficult to shy away from them.

Carter and Providence have a tough matchup with Marquette tonight, and they need to pull out all the stops to beat them. Carter’s hands should be all over this one, scoring at least 20 points in the process.
